The project Olympium Resort Quinta do Lago comes from an emotional and personal concern.  Its origin goes back to the Covid-19 pandemic that spread in Portugal in March 2020. With the pandemic, and the mobility restrictions established by the Portuguese Government to control it, the Algarve was one of the most economically affected regions in Portugal, due to its close relationship with tourism.

The economic losses in Algarve were millionaire but, what concerned us the most was the devastating effects the pandemic was having on the Algarvian people: thousands of employees lost their job, and many entrepreneurs and employers had to close down their business.

The extreme conditions created by the COVID-19 showed the fragility of the Algarve as a tourist destination.

The final aim of this project, relying on young and feminine talent, is to create a tourist complex oriented to highly valuable markets, which allow the local economy to work all year long. Our main goal as a socially responsible entity is to create jobs in the local community and favour its development.
